About Gravity Logic
Gravity Logic was founded by the team that helped build the Whistler Mountain Bike Park. We’re a combination of industry veterans, operations specialists, skilled builders, and passionate riders. Our building and riding roots run deep in Whistler, but our work has since branched around the world.

Dave kelly,
founder + director
As lead hand and subsequent co-manager of the Whistler Mountain Bike Park, Dave’s vision was instrumental in creating A-Line, Crank It Up, Dirt Merchant, and Whistler’s legendary “flow”. He has been involved in the design and build of the bike park since 1996 and was among the first to establish downhill mountain bike trails on Whistler Mountain. Since co-founding GL in 2007, Dave has been particularly active in establishing and growing lift-access mountain biking on the east coast. A few examples of successful bike parks that have benefitted from Dave’s planning include Bryce Mountain Bike Park (VA), Thunder Mountain Bike Park (MA), Killington Mountain Bike Park (VT), Sugarloaf Bike Park (NB), and Mt. Blanc Bike Park (QC). His signature trail design can also be experienced at other well-known North American resorts such as Deer Valley Bike Park (UT), Trestle Bike Park (CO), and Solitude Mountain Bike Park (UT). Dave also has a lifetime of experience working in ski area operations at Whistler Mountain, including risk management, safety, and construction best practices.
rob cocquyt,
founder + director
In 1995, Rob co-established some of the first shuttle-access gravity trails in Squamish, BC. His company—Local Dirt Contracting—then secured government grants to build the early foundational trails of what is now regarded as one of North American’s mountain bike Meccas. He joined the Whistler Mountain Bike Park trail crew as lead-hand in 2004 and co-founded GL in 2007. Rob’s designs can be found throughout the US, Canada, and internationally. From 2011 to 2013, he led the design and build of 38 miles of trail for the Boy Scouts of America world jamboree. He has helped with trail design at the Jackson Hole Bike Park (WY), Trestle Bike Park (CO), Timberline Bike Park (OR), Whistler Mountain Bike Park (Canada), Jarvso Bike Park, and several private trail networks across the US. In the off-season, Rob travels the globe to ride trails and bike parks from which he draws inspiration for innovative trail designs. Rob runs budgets, logistics, and administrative support for GL’s projects.
Tom “pro” Prochazka,
founder + director
Tom was the manager of the Whistler Mountain Bike Park (WMBP) from 2001 to 2007 during which time visitation grew from 5k to more than 100k, annually. Tom’s leadership motivated and guided the bike park trail crew to build the foundation of the world’s largest and most successful bike park. After leaving the WMBP in 2007 to start GL, Tom continued to be heavily involved in the park’s expansion and designed the legendary Top of the World trail in 2011. In 2013, Tom helped design trails for Whistler’s Creekside expansion—the most significant trail development effort since the bike park began operation. Tom later managed GL’s construction of many of these new trails. The lift-access mountain bike culture of western USA is strongly influenced by Tom’s designs. His work is showcased at bike parks around North America, including Steamboat (CO), Telluride (CO), Stevens Pass (WA), Copper (CO), and Lee Canyon (NV). He has also led many of GL’s international bike park projects, including his legacy project at Jarvso Bike Park (Sweden) and bike parks in Austria, Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, China, Guatemala, and Costa Rica.
